People rise from the ashes, so do products, …only for people it seems easier, they look like heroes when they rise from the ashes.

Products..it’s a different story, it’s less “personal”…it’s more difficult to get redemption. A bad perception last forever.

On the other hand, the future isn’t fixed. People, teams, companies …they all can change direction.

There’s nothing written in stone, everything is possible.

You just need to want it badly enough. It means changing habits, changing behavior, changing mentality…nobody can change the past. The future is unwritten, the present is a gift.

Back to Seattle

Time for the yearly Windows summit in Seattle / Redmond.

Business reviews, preparations for the next 6 months, meet colleagues we only know virtually, visit some Belgian friends that moved over, yet I love the atmosphere.

Lots of energy, focus, and always good memories to take home.

 

I also like Seattle, it’s a city with a very international heart.

 

Somehow it puts U2 in my head "Where the streets have no name". Maybe I’m just a U2 fan

Leuven (and the rest of Belgium) in Virtual Earth

During the last update, the Virtual Earth team uploaded terrabytes of pictures of Belgium’s cities.

Off course Leuven, my home town, couldn’t be forgotten. As you can see, they shot it during a nice summer day. Maybe I could even see myself sitting on one of the “terraskes”.

After the iTunes 7.7 “upgrade”, all of a sudden MobileMe appears. Isn’t it time we’d all start crying fowl over this malware-like behavior of our favorite fruit company?
